Just asking, what's your favorite tyoe of music? And your favorite bands?

Personally, I listen to almost any type of metal, and I love bands like Rhapsody(my favourite band ever), Blind guardian, Dragonforce and Disturbed .
I also enjoy some older bands like Pink floyd and Black sabbath.

Pink Floyd is my favorite band of all time... Ozzy is right around there too ;D I also like newer Metal like "Bodom" and "Circle of Dead Children" and my favorite genres are tied between classic rock and misc. Techno.

I have a broad range of music types I like. These I list are just few of the many examples

Contemporary music like Barenaked Ladies, Collective Soul, Sara McLachlan and Nataly Merchent. To Hard rock, Nine Inch Nails, Linkin Park, White Zombie, and Godsmack and much of Faith No More's old stuff.

Movie soundtracks like Lord of the Rings(and all the movies after), Fifth Element, and Last of the Mohicans

I can't say I don't have a favorite type of music, although I actually prefer industrial like KMFDM...but I can get tired of one genre fast, so I cycle from classical (you are teh roxxorz if you can headbang to all 14 minutes of "Bolero"), to crooners like Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé, to radio metal like System of a Down, to NIN and Alice in Chains (which are their own genres IMHO), and to heavily distorted industrial.

Thats awesome! I LOVE Blind Guardian, Hansi is my hero. Rhapsody and Dragonforce are also amazing, i love epic metal! Iced Earth is by far one of my most favorite bands ever. I love all kinds of metal. Iron Maiden, old Metallica, Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom, Dio, Mortal Love, Lacuna Coil, and above said epicness.

Blind Guardian is rather awesome, yes! Particularly the song "Battlefield"

I play lots of rammstein for PvP,

but as for instancing and grinding, it's Techno for the win.

Metallica is my fav, godsmack disturbed lots of 80's hair bands. New rock is ok. some 90's rock bands mostly just rock.
