Officer..shipness..

Just a simple question,

who do i have to kill to get it?

or rather, what are the requirements?

I've been an officer for quite some time now, originaly because i was the guild leader of <The Resistance> wich i had merge *sorta* with caffeine. therefor i became an officer to start off.

now im more of an officer because of my standing as a good paladin, who knows all aspects of the paladin class. so, im a class officer now.

Basically, officers get to where they are by knowing a lot and being able to apply it to their game. There is a place for an officer of each class, although we don't have every one filled.

Class Officers as of now:

Tokus: Paladin
Liandrist: Warrior
Xanderen: Mage
Bhug: Shaman

Yes, this means that we have openings for Druid, Rogue, Priest, Hunter, and Warlock officers. You need to know that class inside and out (this is why I do not fill the Rogue spot, I've only played Sub). You must be able to handle questions fielded by newcomers and have the patience to deal with the fact that they don't know as much as you do. You also need to speak up and let us know that you feel qualified to fill this spot. Ambition and boldness are, after all, cherished Horde traits.

We also have a couple of non-class officers. Keridwyn has taken up bank duties with her bank alt Moreshi, for example. We could use someone to organize the production of raid items and distribute them to the appropriate individuals for use.

In a guild this size, it might also behoove us to designate certain professions and specialties in those professions a commission. Again, this must be someone who knows their profession and specialty well. It would not do to have a Goblin Engineer directing Gnomish Engineering activities, for example. Some existing officers already have mastered skills, such as Xanderen and his transmutation. Valanya is right now working on becoming an Elixir master. See how this works? Again, if you have mastered a profession, speak up. Now one would think this does not apply to gathering professions, but then again, if you are a master miner then you should know where to send a novice to find tin (oh god tin the bane of mining skill how I hate thee). However, anyone who has a profession tied to one of those skills will likely be an expert on that too. So the Potions Master will likely know where to find certain herbs. Engineers, Blacksmiths, and Jewelcrafters will know where all the mining nodes tend to pop up. Leatherworkers will be able to tell you what to skin to get which quality of leather or scales.

Also, if you have one toon that ascends to be an officer, all your alts join in. The reason for this is that in case an officer is needed, you will be able to handle it without having to switch first. I used to keep the alts in their own rank but recent events have forced me to change the ranks slightly.
